작가소개

“씨앗굽의 다기”는 우리의 차문화를 바탕으로 개성있는 차도구를 시도하고자 조형표현의 소재를 탐색하고 굽이라는 요소에 착목하고자 했습니다.
도자기에서 굽과 바닥의 형은 상대적으로 중심에 위치되지 못하고 있지만 굽은 기(器)의 여러 조형 요소 중 하나로서 제작방법과 형태에 따라 하나의 도자 양식으로 분류되기도 하며, 
시대적 기풍이나 제작자의 제작환경, 미의식, 습관, 기술의 정도 따라서 항상 변화해왔습니다. 
또한 그 특이점을 바탕으로 유물의 시기를 가늠하는 고고학적인 지표로도 사용될 만큼 결정적인 형태요소라고 볼수 있습니다. 
때문에 수많은 방법으로 만들어진 작품들 속에서 그 만의 특색을 보여줄 수 있는 중요한 역할을 하고 있다고 보고 이에 집중하여 다구를 제작하고자 했습니다. 
 

The teaware with seed-inspired feet explore various materials of formative expression and concentrate on the element of feet to create unique teaware that represent Korea’s tea culture.
Feet and bases are located relatively far away from the center area of a ceramic article, but as one of the formative elements of a vessel, their production methods and shapes have at times been used to classify a pottery style, and their appearances have constantly changed depending on the ethos of the time or the pottery making environment, aesthetic sense, habits, and skill level of the artist
